Mufti day

Posted 27 March 09 by Scott Andrews

I, along with all the other people who work in this part of London, have been advised by the police to “dress well down” next week in order not to be recognised as or mistaken for bankers by the folks massing for G20 protests.

And yet if I wear my converse, combats and hoody, as I am wont to do on weekends, I run the risk of being mistaken for a protestor.

So the question is: who am I more afraid of – protestors or plod?

Do I want to be strung up from a lampost, or tear gassed and beaten into a coma? Decisions, decisions.
