Not the blurb for Children's Crusade
Posted 25 August 09 by Scott AndrewsIt almost was, but then sanity prevailed. But this was the first draft:
At first it was easy. The kids were lost, alone, scared. Defenceless.
But now communities are forming. Hamlets, villages, even some small towns are springing up from the ruins. The children are being taken in and cared for. Protected.
Snatching them is getting harder. We can no longer rely on stealth. As the people organise, so must we.
Now we seize them by force.
We’ll start with the school. It is well defended, but they have grown complacent.
This Sunday, we take them.
